I’m pretty sure that the 7200 is designed for Vista, but will still run on XP.

I’ve just checked the price of those graphics gards and theyre about 30 dollars AU.

You could go with the Radeon 2400Pro range. Theyre about 40 dollars AU.

Yes, the 7200 will work with XP but wouldn’t be my choice of card.

I hate onboard video but I’m also cheap. I’m currently using an Nvidia 8400 with XP and it works just fine plus I got it for $19 after rebate ($30 before) which makes it pretty cheap…. and way faster than onboard.

I’ve also just installed a Radeon 2400Pro for a customer (again with Windows XP). No problems and it is about a $40 card (at least that’s what I sold it for to him).

    Between the two:

The Nvidia 8400 is faster than the 2400Pro (and the 7200) and can be had for cheap.

The Radeon 2400Pro has sound onboard and if you use a DVI to HDMI dongle you can get sound and video out of the card…..nice feature for HTPC’s but drivers can be a pain in the butt and it is slightly slower than the Nvidia 8400.

nah 7200 is a dx9 card (xp). Itll be fine. Its the 8x series that are dx 10. but either series will work fine with xp.
